Appassionata Orientation Season 2013 - date to be determined
All interested soloists and their families are strongly encouraged to attend this short and information-filled orientation. Our conductor John Roscigno will present information about how to do your best on the competitions. The full program will be explained, including the master classes, recitals, and Opus Series concerts.

Admission Day Fall Season 2013 - date to be determined
All soloists interested in competiting for a performance spot with the Thousand Oaks Philharmonic must have been accepted into the program by this date. Admission requirements must be submitted:
- Recommendation letter from any teacher (email is fine)
- Email sent to tophilharmonic@gmail.com including: your name, instrument, age, school attending and the name of your current instrumental music teacher. Also must be included are a hi resolution photo, 1-3 paragraph biography, and full contact info for both the student and parent (phone, email and address.)
- Program fee sent to:

Season 2013 Competitions
Competitions for performance spots with the Thousand Oaks Philharmonic will be held for students who live in the Greater Ventura County area. Partial scholarships are awarded by the MTAC and the CVYO. The Thousand Oaks Philharmonic holds an open competition after the MTAC and CVYO events, and Steinway and Sons awards partial scholarships for pianists.
Any concerto movement or concert piece for your instrument and orchestra is acceptable. Check with us about the availability of the score and parts for any works not frequently performed.

Gold Recital Series
Students accepted into the program will be given performance spots on the Gold solo recital series. Recitals of solo repertoire and chamber music will be approximately once a month from October through Aug.
High School Honors Piano Performance Seminar Series
HAMMERED! - Season 2013 (Oct 2012-July 2013)
What students can expect:
- Professional-level training and building relationships with university professors and other artists.
- Socialization with other high-achieving students interested in the same art form.
- A resume building activity while they elevate their personal artistry.
- Performance opportunities with repertoire for college/conservatory auditions
- Performance experience for various syllabus examination programs
- General performing experience
- Final class session will be a gala recital featuring seminar class members.
